As part of Fall Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Mississippi, Mississippi State University is conducting a Severe Weather Test. Today at approximately 9:15 a.m., the sirens will sound as well as other parts of the Maroon Alert System will be tested. MSU, the National Weather Service, and the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), would like to use this opportunity to remind the campus community that advanced planning and increased awareness will help residents of Mississippi survive severe weather events. It also serves as a reminder for you to check your home’s emergency preparedness measures.
