Several local organizations are accepting donations for the victims of Tuesday night's fire at the Crossgates Apartments which left dozens of Mississippi State students homeless. The Red Cross is accepting monetary donations at the following locations:
- The Red Cross chapter offices at 100 Felix Long Drive next to Welch Funeral Home.
- The Starkville Daily News offices at 304 E. Lampkin St. The SDN offices are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
- The Mayor's Office in City Hall.
On campus, the Reflector is accepting food and clothes at their office and Phi Delta Theta fraternity had a table on the Drill Field Thursday for monetary contributions or donations of gently used clothing, school supplies, canned food, towels, etc. Also, the MSU Relief Fund has been created and is now listed on the MSU Foundation's giving site where gifts may be made online.
