Stennis-Capitol Press Forum luncheon to feature Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves Jan. 4

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves will be the special guest Monday [Jan. 4] for the next Stennis-Capitol Press Forum luncheon.

The noon program takes place at Jackson’s Capital Club, which is located on the 19th floor of the Capital Towers at 125 South Congress St.

Though open to all, advance reservations are required to ensure adequate seating. The forum cost of $20 per person is payable at the door and includes a meal.

Checks for the meal should be made payable to the Stennis Institute.

The reservation deadline is Friday [Jan. 1] and may be made by email to frank@sig.msstate.edu. Parking will be available in the Capital Towers lot.

A Rankin County native and graduate of Florence High School, Reeves is an honors graduate of Millsaps College who holds a bachelor’s degree in economics. Prior to becoming lieutenant governor in 2011, he was elected as Mississippi’s 53rd Treasurer in 2003 and re-elected to a second term in 2007.

An ongoing program of the Capitol Press Corps and Mississippi State University’s John C. Stennis Institute of Government and Community Development, the forum provides public policymakers and newsmakers an opportunity to discuss and answer questions about their organization’s operations.
