STARKVILLE, Miss.--Chamber Orchestra Kremlin will perform Oct. 14 at Mississippi State as part of the university's 2014-15 Lyceum Series.

The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in Lee Hall's Bettersworth Auditorium.

Founded in 1991, the orchestra has earned an international reputation as one of Russia's leading ensembles. Led by founder and director Misha Rachlevsky, the musical collaboration involves some of the nation's finest young--average age, under 30--string players.

The group's discography of more than 30 CDs has received widespread acclaim, winning France's Diapason d'Or award, Critics Choice selections by London's Gramophone and the New York Times, and Hong Kong's Record of the Year award.

In addition to Moscow concerts and festivals, COK tours regularly throughout North and South America, Europe and the Far East. Of nearly 1,000 compositions in its repertoire, more than 20 were written especially for the orchestra by Russian, European and U.S. composers. For more, visit www.kremlinontour.com.
