STARKVILLE, Miss.--Mega-group ZZ Top brings its distinctive style of high-decibel blues rock to Mississippi State for an Oct. 30 concert in Humphrey Coliseum.
The North Mississippi appearance of the 2014 national tour by the famed "tres hombres"--guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbons, bassist and co-lead vocalist Dusty Hill and drummer Frank Beard--is sponsored by MSU's Music Maker Productions.
Special guest for the evening will be the Ben Miller Band, a three-man Missouri group whose style mixes American heritage music, including blues, bluegrass, folk and country.

Formed in Houston in 1970, ZZ Top continues to provide among the most consistently high-standard live performances of any modern rock group. As with all the numerous record-breaking USA tours over the decades, the band also retains an eccentric, colorful image highlighted, in part, by long beards, dark glasses and tall Stetsons.
