An exhibit by Mississippi State's artist-in-residence Kathryn Hunter will run through Nov. 1 in the Cullis Wade Depot Art Gallery.
"Kathryn Hunter: Confluence" will focus on the bond between humans and animals held in conjunction with the College of Veterinary Medicine's Human-Animal Bond symposium.
A public reception for Hunter will be held today [Sept. 26] from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Cullis Wade Depot Art Gallery, as well as a Sept. 28 presentation at the Sam D. Hamilton Noxubee Wildlife Refuge.
Hunter is a printmaker and operator of Blackbird Letter Press in Baton Rouge, La. She grew up in Decatur, Ala., and has a bachelor of fine arts in printmaking from Montana State University and a master of fine arts in printmaking from Louisiana State University. She is currently represented by Le Mieux Galleries in New Orleans, La.
Events are co-sponsored by the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine, the Noxubee Wildlife Refuge Artist-In-Residence Partnership with MSU's art department and the Starkville Area Arts Council.
