STARKVILLE, Miss.--A new meeting room on the third floor of Mitchell Memorial Library now is open to provide faculty and students with a technology-filled space designed to enhance collaborative learning and research.

Presentation Room 3060--also known as "The Think Tank"--will accommodate up to eight individuals. It is designed specifically for small-group meetings, Blackboard Collaborate and other web-based conference activities, group training, search committee meetings requiring Skype, and presentation practices.

Three of four walls are coated with IdeaPaint that converts the space into floor-to-ceiling white boards. Some of the room's featured technologies include a PC with wireless mouse, keyboard and webcam, a 60-inch LED television, and conference telephone system. Available software includes Microsoft Office 2010, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Acrobat, VLC, Skype, and Camtasia.

Presentation Room 3060 is available to university faculty, staff and students by reservation on a first-come basis. In addition to contacting the library's Instructional Media Center at 662-325-7676, persons interested in reserving the room may visit http://library.msstate.edu/services/roomreserve.
