Mississippi Symphony performance moved indoors

The Jackson-based Mississippi Symphony Orchestra will perform Friday [April 5], at 7 p.m., in Mississippi State University's McComas Hall main auditorium.

Directed by Crafton Beck, the 65 professional musicians will feature a selection of light classics--recognizable and fun music--during the program's first half.

The second half will feature a variety of pops music sets, including selections from Richard Rogers' "The King and I," James Bond movie themes and John Philip Sousa's "The Stars and Stripes Forever."

Also at the event, Delta Xi Phi Multicultural Sorority, Inc., will be holding a bake sale in the lobby to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.
