The 4th annual MSU Relay for Life event will be held this Friday [April 12], in the Junction. The relay begins at 1 p.m.
Relay for Life is a 12-hour team walking event of the American Cancer Society celebrating cancer survivors, remembering those who lost the
cancer battle, and fighting back against cancer.
This year's theme is "Lights, Camera, CURE," and teams will have booths set up
with food, games, and plenty of family fun. The event will include live
entertainment and music from acts such as Skylar Lane, Jasmine Murray, DJ Se7en, Black Voices, and Lab Rats Comedy. All ages from campus and the Golden Triangle community are welcome to attend.
Relay will kick off with a BBQ lunch from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., and will feature MSU celebrity servers such as Dr. and Mrs. Keenum, Coach Mullen, Scott Stricklin, Miss MSU, and others. Recommended donation for plates is $7, and teams will be selling snacks.
We have two very special ceremonies planned to honor cancer survivors,
caretakers, and those who have lost their battle with cancer. They are the:
Survivor ceremony: 6 p.m.
Luminaria ceremony: 9 p.m.
