Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant has ordered flags on the Mississippi State University campuses lowered to half-staff from Monday, March 4, 2013, through sunset on Thursday, March 7, 2013, in memory of MSU President Emeritus Donald W. Zacharias, who died Sunday in Starkville at the age of 77 following an extended illness.
A memorial service celebrating Zachariasâ life and work is planned on the MSU Starkville campus on Thursday, March 7 at 11 a.m. Details will be made public when finalized.
