The broadcast is in conjunction with the Feb. 8-9 Starkville Rotary Classic Rodeo, a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) event, is the clubâs largest fundraiser each year. Club members strive to not only make it an exciting event for everyone, but also to benefit the community by using the proceeds to fund college scholarships for area students.
This two-day event truly has something for every member of the family. For the youngsters there are pony rides and a petting zoo featuring chickens, calves, goats, and rabbits. Each night features two go-rounds of bull riding, steer wrestling, bareback riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, and team roping. There promises to be non-stop rodeo action for two hours each night, with rodeo clowns performing throughout to keep audiences laughing and cowboys safe.
On Saturday night, pony rides and the petting zoo begin at 5 p.m. on the arena floor. This will last until 6:45 pm and is free with a general admission ticket to the rodeo for that night.
