STARKVILLE, Miss.--Members of the Golden Triangle community are invited Oct. 30 to help support Mississippi State's United Way campaign by running or walking "Bully's 5K for United Way."

Race-day fun begins with 5:30 p.m. registration at the university's McArthur Hall, located at the Barr Avenue-Collegeview Street intersection. The pre-registration entry fee is $20, or $25 on race day

Starting at 6:30 p.m., the 3.1-mile course will provide participants an opportunity to make a sunset tour of the land-grant institution's beautiful and historic campus.

This year, the Halloween-themed event will include a special award for "Best Costume."

"We have the same course as prior years, but have changed the day and time," said race director Les Potts. "We plan on having a lot of fun with a twilight race with plenty of glow sticks and a new Halloween theme."

All participants will receive a t-shirt, with age-division and overall-walk winners being recognized with special cowbell awards, he added.

An entry form and additional race details are at www.facebook.com/MSUUnitedWay5K.
