Bully's 5K for United Way to be Halloween treat

MSU students, employees, and local community members are invited to help support university’s United Way campaign by running or walking Bully’s 5K for United Way on Tuesday [Oct. 30].

Race day fun begins at 5:30 p.m. with registration at McArthur Hall. The race starts at 6:30 p.m., and the 3.1-mile course will give runners and walkers a chance to tour the land-grant institution’s beautiful and historic campus as the sun goes down.

The Halloween-themed event will give a special award this year for “Best Costume” among participants.

“We have the same course as prior years, but have changed the day and time,” said race director Les Potts. “We plan on having a lot of fun with a twilight race with plenty of glow sticks and a new Halloween theme.”

The entry fee for pre-registrants is $20, and race day registration is $25. Proceeds go to support MSU’s United Way campaign. Participants will receive a t-shirt, and age division winners and the overall walk winner will be recognized with special cowbell awards.
