Community teams from around North Mississippi are meeting on campus Wednesday and Thursday to learn more about how to help students attain access to higher education opportunities.
The Mississippi Higher Education Initiative request for proposals grant planning conference is targeting the Appalachian Regional Commission's distressed counties of Benton, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Clay, Kemper, Marshall, Montgomery, Noxubee, Panola, Webster, Winston and Yalobusha. Projects funded through this grant opportunity will encourage and increase high school students' enrollment in postsecondary education using community-based economic development teams to implement new or expanded strategies.
