Swing a club, hit a ball, help an MSU student this weekend

STARKVILLE, Miss.--A public golf scramble taking place this weekend will help provide continuing financial support for students and programs in Mississippi State's food science, nutrition and health promotion department.

The ninth-annual FSNHP Advancement Golf Tournament gets under way with an 8 a.m. shotgun start Saturday [Aug. 23] at the university golf course.

While open to all, the event is limited to the first 60 players enrolling.

Individual registration is $125; $500 for a team of no more than four players.

The entrance charge covers dinner Friday night [the 22nd] and a 7:30 a.m. continental breakfast and 12:30 p.m. lunch Saturday, as well as snacks and course fees.
