Mississippi political activist Andy Taggart will be on campus Jan. 30 to discuss politics and the upcoming state and national elections.
Taggart will deliver his public address at 6 p.m. in 329 Colvard Student Union. His appearance is sponsored by the MSU Student Association.
Actively involved in governmental and political arenas, Taggart co-authored the award-winning book, Mississippi Politics. Formerly, he served as chief of staff for former Gov. Kirk Fordice and executive director of the Mississippi Republican Party.
