Students may authorize parents to pay on account

Students, are you counting on mom and dad to cover your expenses at MSU? We've made it easy for you--and them.

The new QuikPAY service site allows students to authorize a payer--usually a parent--to access account information and make payments on the student's behalf. The site is hosted by the Account Services Office.

Students must initiate this process by logging into the MSU onCampus portal at www.msstate.edu and proceeding to "Make an Online Payment." This will link them to the QuikPAY site. The student will simply select "Authorize Payers" and proceed with the set-up of parents' names and a password. Once the student establishes authorization, the payer is sent a confirming e-mail.

To access the student account, parents should go to the secure server at https://quikpayasp.com/msstate/studentaccounts/authorized.do and input the name and password that the student set up for them. Parents then change the password by selecting "Change Password." To make a payment, parents select "Make a Payment" and select Payment Type: credit card or e-check. They then make payment by type. Payments may be made 24 hours a day.

Parents, or other authorized users, can save a profile of their credit card and e-check information for future use if they desire. This is not mandatory, but convenient when using the same credit card or bank account to make future payments.
