Applications for 2007 Orientation Leader staff positions are now available in 250 Montgomery Hall. Orientation Leaders are an integral part of the Office of Admissions and Scholarships and help lead the university's Orientation 2007 programs. Consisting of eight different events, Orientation 2007 will serve over 4,000 new students and parents during the month of June.
Orientation Leaders serve Mississippi State by writing and calling prospective students, giving tours of campus, and staffing summer Orientation sessions by teaching student small groups, leading parent information sessions, and welcoming new students during registration, meals, and other times during the program. Orientation Leaders take a 3-hour course for credit during the Spring semester to prepare for Orientation 2007. They will also attend the Southern Regional Orientation Workshop (SROW) at Florida State University in March, where they will compete against other Orientation Leader teams from across the Southeast.
2007 Orientation Leader applications are now available in 250 Montgomery Hall and at www.orientation.msstate.edu. Applications are due by Tuesday, October 24. There will be a mandatory applicants meeting in the Parker Ballroom of the Hunter Henry Center on Wednesday, October 25.
