Nine special income tax seminars for accountants and other tax practitioners are being offered throughout Mississippi during November and December.
Sponsored by Mississippi State University's College of Business and Industry, the continuing education programs are being scheduled by the Division of Business Services in Gulfport, Starkville, Tupelo, Senatobia, Cleveland, Jackson, Hattiesburg, and Meridian.
MSU accounting professor Zoel Daughtrey and Terry Smith, director of the State Tax Commission's income and franchise tax bureau, will lead the 9 a.m.-4:15 p.m. sessions.
The $75 registration fee covers materials, instruction, certificates of completion, and refreshments. Participants may qualify for eight hours of professional continuing education credit.

--Nov. 21, Gulfport, fine arts auditorium of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College's Jefferson Davis Campus.
--Nov. 28, Starkville, MSU's Bost Extension Center theater.
--Nov. 29, Tupelo, Technical Education Building at the Itawamba Community College-Tupelo Campus.
--Nov. 30, Senatobia, Northwest Mississippi Community College coliseum.
--Dec. 1, Cleveland, Delta State University's Ewing Hall auditorium.
--Dec. 5 and 6, Jackson, Mississippi Educational Television auditorium at the Universities Center (3825 Ridgewood Dr.).
--Dec. 7, Hattiesburg, Lake Terrace Convention Center.
--Dec. 8, Meridian, multipurpose room of MSU-Meridian.
