More than 100 college students and their advisers will be at Mississippi State Saturday [Oct. 14] for a meeting of the state Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda organization.

Titled "Destination Leadership," the event is the first statewide fall conference held by the Mississippi FBL-PBL in four years. The daylong program at various campus locations includes social and educational activities highlighting the national leadership theme, said technology and education assistant professor Anna L. Hillman, MSU faculty adviser.

Nationally, Phi Beta Lambda, the collegiate arm of FBLA, has more than 10,000 members. Headquartered in Reston, Va., the organization provides activities and resources for students preparing for careers in business.

The MSU chapter was established in 1967 and consistently has placed in national competitive events.
