Nearly 20 creative Mississippi State students are winners in the university's 28th annual Student Fine Art and Graphic Design Competition.
More than 200 entries were submitted, from which 90 were accepted for judging in the art department-sponsored exhibition. Jurors were University of Mississippi professor Greg Shelnutt and Debra Shafer, owner of Dux D'Lux advertising agency in Starkville.
A total of more than $3,500 in cash and gift certificates was provided by national art supply companies and Starkville businesses for many of the winning selections.
