Mississippi State University's heavily traveled Hardy Street is expected to reopen Aug. 16 after striping of the roadway is complete.
Often called "Engineering Row," the north-south street connecting East Lee Boulevard with Morrill Road closed in mid-May for major repairs, including new asphalt and upgraded drainage, curbs and gutters.
Resurfacing recently was completed, and striping should be finished by the end of this week--nearly a week before the school year begins on Aug. 23.
Work was performed by MSU Physical Plant personnel using materials donated by area contractors.
