A series of seminars to update farmers and small business owners on current tax issues will be held in Mississippi and Louisiana during October and November.
The program is designed to provide participants with a working knowledge of selected farm and small business tax matters, as well as the latest information on developments in federal taxation. A comprehensive review of 1997 federal tax events also will be provided.
The seminars are sponsored by the Division of Business Services at Mississippi State University. The division is an extension service of the College of Business and Industry.
Instructors will be accounting professors Zoel Daughtrey of Mississippi State and Daryl V. Burckel of McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La.
The registration deadline is three weeks prior to the seminar date.
A $185 registration fee covers materials, instruction and refreshments. The late registration fee is $200.
