Mississippi State University's Office of Student Leadership and Community Engagement and International Institute are hosting 24 young leaders from Iraq, who recently participated in an international cultural symposium held at Moseley Hall. While pursuing their undergraduate studies at Mississippi State, the visiting students are learning about American communities, democracy and food systems while educating the campus community about various aspects of life in their home country. Topics of discussion included Iraqi history and civilization, traditions and cultural norms, religion, Kurdistan and ethnic groups, and politics, among others.
