During Monday's College Day Experience, Jackson seventh-grader Keedrick Palmer takes a turn at bat with MSU baseball player Ben Bracewell, of Chelsea, Ala., as his catcher. Hosted by MSU in partnership with the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation and the Mississippi Department of Human Services, the event brought more than 100 youth participating in the CRSF's Badges for Baseball program to campus for tours, guest speakers and Quickball with the MSU baseball team. The event's goal is to expose children to college life and show them that they can achieve a college education through hard work and dedication.
