Nationally-known historian and family studies expert Stephanie Coontz spoke Wednesday as part of MSU's Women's History Month Celebration and Gender Studies Lecture Series. Shown speaking to a primarily student audience about "Publicizing Research in the Mass Media," Coontz also gave an evening presentation titled, "50 Years of Feminism: What's Changed and What Hasn't." Coontz teaches history and family studies at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, and is director of research and public education for the Council on Contemporary Families, a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to providing research and best-practice findings about American families.
