Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice spoke to a crowd of more than 4,000 MSU students, faculty, staff and guests from the community Tuesday evening as part of the Global Lecture Series. She discussed the difficult challenges the U.S. and the world face today, saying that strong and stable democracies understand that the strong cannot exploit the weak. Rice asked students to lay the foundation for fulfilling their responsibility to democracy by taking actions to help those who are less fortunate.
