Shalyn Claggett, associate professor of English, was recently named the 2012 Humanities Teacher of the Year at Mississippi State. A Victorian literature and culture expert, she offered a public lecture on Victorian cinema, complemented by magic lantern slides from her own collection, during the awards ceremony held in her honor on Monday.
