Artist Mary Hark prepares Delta-grown cotton fibers for the papermaking workshop she led on Friday for Mississippi State art students. At her talk this week, Hark spoke about how her experiences in Ghana heavily influence her work. Hark's textile-inspired art can be viewed through Oct. 3 at the Visual Arts Center in "Inside-Out/Outside-In: African-Inspired Fiber Arts of Mary Hark and Nnenna Okore." Hark is on campus in conjunction with this year's Maroon Edition selection, Unbowed by Wangari Maathai.
