Secondary education major Alden Maxey, of Tupelo, prepares to fly her paper airplane Wednesday during the "Great Bullyland Paper Airplane Competition" on the Drill Field. The event was part of College of Education professor Jack Blendinger's writing for thinking class, in which he uses the paper airplanes as a vehicle for all the class activities. The students whose airplanes flew the farthest received not only bragging rights, but prizes as well.
