Armed Rasberry, an MSU biological engineering major from West Point, mixes a gel for his iguana genetics research in the lab of biological sciences professor Mark Welch. Rasberry is currently studying the population genetics of the Jamaican iguana Cyclura collei, a species represented only by a single small population in the wild. The MSU senior heads to Jamaica next week during Spring Break to help process 180 baby iguanas back into their natural habitat.
