Children of Mississippi State University faculty and students performed "Dancing Sleeves," commonly seen at Tibetan festivals. The group, Little Swan Dancers, used white sleeves as symbols of Tibetan women's cheerful and easy spirits and to signify the melting snow on Mount Everest. The group performance this week was part of Dance Around the World, which included 19 culturally diverse groups, meant to showcase through different dance styles the breadth of culture represented at the university. In its fourth year, the event receives sponsorships from the Department of Recreational Sports, the Holmes Cultural Diversity Center and the Campus Activities Board.
