Many Mississippi State basketball supporters gathered on campus Thursday to congratulate head coach Rick Stansbury for 22 years of coaching at the university. After 14 years as head coach, Stansbury announced this week that he will devote more time to his family while also keeping ties with the university. His tenure includes many championships, the most wins in school history, and an impressive list of All-American and All-SEC performers. His legacy also places him in the SEC record books as the ninth-winningest coach in league history.
