About 100 sociology scholars from more than a dozen schools gathered on campus for the Alabama-Mississippi Sociological Association's annual meeting on Thursday and Friday. Shown above, Mississippi State University sociology lecturer Philip Mason leads discussion at the Hunter Henry Center about his research paper, "Religious Involvement and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder." Covering a wide range of topics, the meeting focused this year on disparities in demographics, economics, literacy, transportation and agriculture. MSU interim head of the department of sociology Lynne Cossman serves as president of the professional organization this year.
