A true interdisciplinary collaboration packaged in one student, Lauren White, left, a recent graduate in wildlife and fisheries from Jackson, helped build the public seating structure in the walkway of the Sanderson Center on campus, and also performed an interpretive dance around it. Joined by fellow Terpsichore dance group member Joy Bouder, a recent psychology graduate from Marion, the students performed using the structure as the setting. The students performed on Wednesday for a landscape architecture class that explores how the design of a space influences its use. The public seating structure was built through a summer architecture project and was commissioned by the Sanderson Center. The public seating area will have an official ribbon cutting on Sept. 9.
