Junior forestry major Colby Latham of West Point (left), and sophomore Drew Able of Huntsville, Ala., measure tree heights using a clinometer in the John W. Starr Memorial Forest at Mississippi State. The students are participating in a 9-week summer field program, a requirement for all forestry majors. The College of Forest Resources is one of the few programs nationwide providing a hands-on field session each summer.
