Lewisburg Middle School 7th grader Daniel Underwood learns to bow fish at the university's Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture Intergenerational Summer Camp with the help of camp instructor Bobby Gentry, a law enforcement officer at the Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge. Sponsored by the university's Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Aquaculture and Extension Service, the camp is designed to encourage students to connect to the outdoors through sporting activities while learning the value of conserving natural resources and discovering the adventures of outdoor activities. Other activities during the week include archery, boater safety, hunter education, deer necropsy, edible wild plants, and scuba diving.
