4-H volunteer Shanna Holder and the UnitedHealthcare mascot, Dr. Health E. Hound, lead an exercise routine in Bettersworth Auditorium of Lee Hall Friday. UnitedHealthcare provided Mississippi 4-H with a $45,000 grant to fund Youth Voice: Youth Choice, a program which will focus efforts on reducing rates of obesity and diabetes in Mississippi. Nearly 1,200 4-H youth leaders and supporters joined together to kick off the partnership that will bolster state 4-H programs, focusing resources in underserved communities through after-school programs, healthy cooking demonstrations, fitness training, exercise and physical activities.
