Senior agribusiness major Tyler Dixon of Boyle shoots clay targets as part of Mississippi State's Recreational Sports trap shooting league. Dixon currently ranks third individually, hitting 112 targets out of a possible 150.
In a partnership with the Starkville Gun Club, the new sport open to all students has competed for three weeks in the month-long competition. The trap shooting league involves three-person teams along with individual scoring.
During league action, MSU students have participated in etiquette and safety training and general instruction practice. While wrapping up next week, the league will return next semester.
