II-VI Groundbreaking at Research Park

City, county and university officials came together Monday with Mississippi congressional leaders to break ground and celebrate a new business incubator, which will also accommodate expansion of II-VI Inc., a growing company already housed at the Thad Cochran Research, Technology and Economic Development Park. Participating in the groundbreaking were David Shaw, vice president for research and economic development; Whit Hughes, Mississippi Development Authority; Marvell Howard, Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors; Jack Wallace, Oktibbeha County Economic Development Authority; Senator Thad Cochran; MSU President Mark Keenum; Congressman Alan Nunnelee; Congressman Gregg Harper; Carl Johnson, II-VI Inc. Board Chairman; Starkville Mayor Parker Wiseman; and Architect Jim Eley.
