Partners supporting the U.S. Department of Education-funded Enhancing K-12 Science and Mathematics Preparation workshop hosted at MSU last year met again this weekend to continue their work towards bridging the gap between K-12 schools and manufacturing industries in Mississippi by providing training in utilizing advanced technology in delivery of instruction and integrating workplace applications, skills and values into the curriculum. Among those on hand were (l-r) Mark Scott with Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding, Robert Boman of American Eurocopter, Greg Stewart with Aurora Flight Sciences, and Sandra H. Harpole, director of the Center for Science, Mathematics & Technology at MSU. Other partners participating in the workshop include Columbus Air Force Base, Nissan North America, and North American Coal's Red Hills Mine.
