Jackson State University student Charnia Hall, front, of Brandon, and Millsaps College student Marlaina Berch of Starkville, both junior chemistry majors, have spent their summer at Mississippi State researching cell and molecular biology of bull sperm as it relates to fertility. The two students are among about two dozen on MSU's campus this summer as part of National Science Foundation-sponsored summer research programs. These programs partner students with faculty mentors, provide direct research opportunities and encourage undergraduate students to pursue graduate education.
