The renovation of Harned Hall continues, with workers currently restoring the wooden window frames in the Mississippi Landmark building. Phase I of the project is scheduled for completion late next year. The front (or south end) of the four-story structure was built in the 1920s; the rear annex, in the 1970s. To the west down Lee Boulevard, the Lloyd-Ricks Building, another Mississippi Landmark, also is in the midst of a top-to-bottom overhaul.
