MSU counselor education graduate student Jason Bertrand was at Starkville's Sudduth Elementary School recently to share with kindergarten students a book he and two others developed. Created as a service-learning project in a course led by assistant professor April Heiselt, the book is designed to encourage Avery Johnson and others her age to begin considering the benefits of a college education. The presentation took place during a pretend "slumber party" in the classroom.
