The weekend's Johnny Cash Flower Pickin' Festival concluded Sunday with a redemption service and gospel music program in Lee Hall auditorium. Christian musician and poet Kevin Max and Cash's sister Joanne were among those featured on the program. Sponsored, in part, by MSU, the first-ever festival paid tribute to the late singer and American icon who once was arrested by Starkville police after a 1960s campus concert. His later song, "Starkville City Jail," humorously recalled the situation.
