Pakistani-born novelist Bapsi Sidhwa was the special guest for campus programs earlier this week sponsored by the Holmes Cultural Diversity Center and Shackouls Honors College. Now residing in Houston, Texas, the award-winning writer is recognized internationally for skillfully detailing past and present critical issues faced by her Indian subcontinent homeland. Talking with Sidhwa during a reception were associate provost Jerry Gilbert (c) and Gary Myers, interim dean of arts and sciences.
