K.R. Reddy, director of Mississippi State's Soil Plant Atmosphere Research Facility and a professor in the department of plant and soil sciences, discusses the 10 outdoor naturally lighted chambers at the facility. These chambers allow computers to control environmental factors such as temperature, water and air current to research impact on crops. Currently, researchers are determining soybean responses to abiotic stresses, specifically, changes to water and temperature.
