Bringing a message of tolerance, respect and love for others, the mother of a Wyoming hate-crime murder victim spoke Wednesday night to a large crowd in Lee Hall auditorium. Judy Shepard, whose 21-year-old gay son Matthew was beaten and tortured by two men in 1998, was making her second appearance at a Mississippi university in as many days. Floral arrangements for the MSU program were provided by campus floral designer Jim DelPrince and his students.
