Unique ’breadbox’ doors that allow food samples to be passed between research scientists and volunteer panelists are among features of a new sensory evaluation laboratory in the Department of Food Science and Technology. April Gandy of Potts Camp (seated) receives a test sample from Michael Lynn Tynes of Liberty. The nearly 3,000 square-foot facility contains offices, fully equipped kitchens and testing areas.
