Bulldog netman Romain Ambert prepared a ground stroke Tuesday on the way to defeating his University of Southern Mississippi opponent at the Pitts Tennis Centre. The sophomore from Toulouse, France, currently is ranked 15th in the nation, just one point shy of the Bulldog's national team standings. In the singles match, Ambert topped USMs Miikka Kangas 6-0 and 6-3. MSU next faces the fifth-ranked University of Mississippi Rebels on Thursday at the River Hills Cup competition in Jackson.
